Departments hosting workshops, seminars, conferences, etc., are expected to contact the Department of Parking by sending an email indicating date, time, and guest name(s) to parking@newark.rutgers.edu during the planning stages so that visitor parking arrangements can be made. In all cases, host departments must remain sensitive to the limited University parking facilities available to faculty, staff and students during the academic day.

Visitors are not exempt from violations resulting from improper parking in restricted areas, handicap or fire zones. Violators are subject to towing at their own expense.

University departments can prevent the embarrassment and inconvenience of citations by prearranging parking for their guests.

Visitor Parking/Visitor Parking Fees
Visitors, vendors and service personnel conducting business on the Newark campus must obtain their parking arrangements by the department to be visited. Unless a department issues a visitor coupon, all visitors will be charged $10.70 (includes tax)to park on their way out of the parking lot.
